Telcoo for Android

Cable pair color code tool

Privacy Policy

Last updated

The short version

Telcoo works entirely on your device. Pair lookups, fiber and RJ45 references, saved cable counts, and your settings never leave your phone or tablet. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking, and we don't run a server that receives anything from the App.

The only time information goes anywhere is when you choose to buy Premium (handled by Google Play), when Android backs up your apps to your own Google account, or when you email us for support (you see and send the message yourself).

Overview

This policy explains how Buknal Enterprise LLC ("we," "us") handles information in the Telcoo app for Android phones and tablets ("the App"), distributed through Google Play. It applies only to the App, not to the iPhone and iPad version, other apps we publish, or websites we don't operate.

Telcoo has no user accounts. You don't register, and you don't give us a name, an email address, or a password to use it. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

What stays on your device

The App converts pair numbers to color codes and back, and shows fiber color codes and RJ45 wiring, using reference standards built into the App. Those calculations happen on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.

A small amount of information is saved in the App's private storage so it works the way you left it:

  • Recent cable counts you enter (up to 20 starting and ending pair ranges), so you can reuse them later;
  • Whether you have finished onboarding;
  • Your Premium status, so unlocked features keep working when you're offline.

None of this includes your name, location, contacts, or anything about the customers or sites you work on.

What we don't collect

The App contains no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising software, and it doesn't use advertising IDs or other tracking identifiers. It doesn't ask for any Android runtime permissions. Specifically, the App does not collect or request:

  • Your location;
  • Access to your camera, microphone, photos, files, or contacts;
  • Usage statistics about which features you use;
  • Device identifiers for tracking you across apps or websites.

If you have chosen to share usage and diagnostics data with Google on your device, Google may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash and performance reports through the Google Play Console. You can change this in your device's Google settings.

Premium purchase

Telcoo is free to download and offers an optional one-time Premium purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Google Play using your Google account. The App uses Google Play Billing on your device to show the price, complete the purchase, and check whether Premium is unlocked, including when you tap Restore purchase. This is the only part of the App that communicates over the internet, and it goes to Google, not to us.

Google gives us order records and sales reports that we use only for accounting, refunds, and answering your purchase questions. We never receive your card number or other payment details.

Android backup

The App allows Android's standard Auto Backup. If backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the App's saved cable counts, onboarding status, and Premium status in the encrypted backup it keeps in your own Google account, so they come back when you set up a new device. We can't access these backups. You can turn backup off in your device's Settings → Google → Backup (the exact path varies by device).

Contacting support

If you tap Contact support, the App opens a draft email in your email app addressed to [email protected], with the App's version number in the subject line. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and you can edit it first.

When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and to fix problems you report, and we don't add you to any mailing list.

Google Play services

The App is distributed through Google Play, and downloads, purchases, refunds, and backups are handled by Google. Google processes that information under the Google Privacy Policy. The App uses no other third-party services.

Deleting your data

Because your information lives on your device, you control it directly:

  • Clear your recent cable counts inside the App.
  • Use Settings → Apps → Telcoo → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the App, to remove everything it stored on that device.
  • Delete App backups from your Google account in your Google account or Google Drive backup settings.
  • Your Premium purchase stays with your Google account, so reinstalling and tapping Restore purchase unlocks it again.

Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it. Ask us and we'll delete your correspondence.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, under laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws. Because the App sends us nothing that identifies you, the only personal information we might hold is a support email you sent or purchase records Google provides. Write to us and we'll respond within the time the applicable law requires.

Children's privacy

Telcoo is a professional tool for telephone, data, and fiber technicians. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Information stored by the App is kept in its private storage, which other apps can't read, and is protected by Android and your device's screen lock. Purchases are verified through Google Play Billing. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. If a future version begins collecting any information, we will update this policy and the App's Google Play Data safety section before that version is released. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page, with a new "Last updated" date above.
