The short version
DiceCue keeps your dice, your saved rolls, and your settings on your device. They aren't synced to iCloud or sent to us. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
To improve the App, it sends us anonymous usage counts through TelemetryDeck, such as how many rolls were made and which screens were opened. These are not linked to your identity and never include the names of your saved rolls, the rolls you type, or your results. The App never asks for your name, email address, or location.
| Information | Where it goes | Identifies you? |

| Your dice, results, saved Dice Sets, and settings | Your device only | Never sent to us |
| Anonymous usage counts | TelemetryDeck, our analytics provider | Not linked to you |
| Dice Sets purchase | Apple. We never receive your payment details | Not linked to you |

Overview
This policy explains how Buknal Enterprise LLC ("we," "us") handles information in the DiceCue: Phone Dice app for iPhone and iPad, including its widgets, Control Center controls, and Shortcuts actions ("the App"). It applies only to the App, not to other apps we publish or to our websites.
DiceCue has no user accounts and shows no ads. We don't run a server for your data, we don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
What the App stores
So it opens the way you left it, the App saves on your device:
- The dice on your table, and the last result rolled from a widget or control;
- Dice Sets, if you've unlocked them: each saved roll's name, its dice (for example 1d20+5), and the group you put it in;
- Settings, such as sound, haptics, shake to roll, and the table colour;
- Whether Dice Sets is unlocked, so widgets and controls know without asking the App Store each time.
The "this session" chart of how often each number came up is kept only while the App is open, and is cleared when it closes.
None of this is uploaded to us or synced to iCloud. If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, iOS includes the App's storage in that backup, which is controlled by you and Apple.
Shake to roll
If shake to roll is on, the App responds to the same shake gesture iOS uses for "shake to undo." It doesn't record motion data, count steps, or work out where you are, and you can turn it off in the App's Settings. Roll sounds are played, never recorded: the App doesn't use the microphone.
Widgets, Control Center, and Shortcuts
Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy widgets, the Control Center controls, and Siri and Shortcuts actions roll dice right where you are. To do that, they read your table's dice and a copy of your saved Dice Sets from storage shared between parts of the App on your device, and they keep their last result there. That information stays on your device.
Anonymous usage analytics
To learn which features people use and how to improve the App, it sends anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These include how many rolls are made, which screens are opened, whether the Dice Sets offer was viewed or bought, your settings, and basic technical details such as the App version, device model, and language. An anonymous code for this copy of the App lets us count users without knowing who they are.
These statistics are not linked to your identity and not used for tracking or advertising, and we don't sell or share them. They never include the names of your Dice Sets, the rolls you type, or the numbers you roll, and the App doesn't collect your name, email address, or location in the first place. TelemetryDeck processes them for us under its privacy policy.
What we don't collect
The App contains no advertising software and no tracking identifiers, and it doesn't use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not collect or request:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account login;
- Your location;
- Access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts, calendars, or health data;
- The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). The App never asks for permission to track you.
Apple separately lets you share crash and usage reports with app developers under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. If you turn that on, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash reports. You can turn it off at any time.
Dice Sets purchase
DiceCue is free to download, and rolling is free. Dice Sets is an optional one-time purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. To check whether Dice Sets is unlocked, including when a family member shares it with you through Family Sharing, the App asks Apple for your purchase record on the device. We receive anonymized sales reports from Apple and the anonymous purchase statistics described above. We never see your name, card number, billing address, or Apple Account details.
Contacting support
When you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and fix problems you report, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
Apple services
The App is distributed through the App Store. Widgets, Control Center, Siri and Shortcuts, purchases, Family Sharing, and refunds are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. Apart from Apple, the only service the App uses is TelemetryDeck for analytics, described above.
Deleting your data
Because your dice, Dice Sets, and settings live on your device, you control them directly. You can delete a Dice Set in the App, and delete the App to remove everything it stored on that device, including what its widgets and controls use. Your Dice Sets purchase stays with your Apple Account, so reinstalling and tapping Restore purchase unlocks it again.
Anonymous usage statistics are kept by TelemetryDeck only in aggregated or pseudonymous form for analysis. Because they can't be connected to you, we can't find or delete one person's statistics. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it. Ask us and we'll delete your correspondence.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or opt out of certain processing, under laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the App to process anonymous usage statistics. Your dice, Dice Sets, and settings are stored on your device, where you can delete them yourself. The only information we might hold that identifies you is a support email you sent. Write to us and we'll respond within the time the applicable law requires.
Children's privacy
DiceCue is a dice roller suitable for all ages, but it is not directed to children under 13. It has no accounts, chat, or advertising, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The usage statistics described above are anonymous and are not used to identify or contact anyone. In-app purchases follow Apple's rules, including Ask to Buy for children in a Family Sharing group. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Information stored by the App is protected by iOS and iPadOS and by your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Analytics are sent over encrypted connections, and purchases are verified through Apple's signed App Store transactions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. If a future version collects new kinds of information or uses it in new ways, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version is released. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page, with a new "Last updated" date above.
