The short version
Jigovia keeps your puzzles, progress, and history on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. If you turn one of your photos into a puzzle, that photo stays there too. We can't see any of it. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
To improve the App, it sends us anonymous usage statistics through TelemetryDeck, such as when a puzzle is started or finished. These are not linked to your identity and never include your photos. The App never asks for your name, email address, or location.
| Information | Where it goes | Identifies you? |
|---|---|---|
| Puzzle progress, finished-puzzle history, and settings | Your device, and your private iCloud database if you use iCloud | Never sent to us |
| Photos you turn into puzzles | Your device, and your private iCloud database if you use iCloud | Never sent to us |
| Anonymous usage statistics | TelemetryDeck, our analytics provider | Not linked to you |
| Requests for puzzle pictures | Our picture server | Not linked to you |
| Jigovia Plus purchase | Apple. We never receive your payment details | Not linked to you |
| Support emails you choose to send | Us, at [email protected] | Only what you send |
Overview
This policy explains how Buknal Enterprise LLC ("we," "us") handles information in the Jigovia: Jigsaw Puzzles app for iPhone and iPad ("the App"). It applies only to the App, not to other apps we publish or to our websites.
Jigovia has no user accounts and shows no ads. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
What the App stores
So you can pick up where you left off, the App saves:
- Puzzles in progress: which picture, the piece count, where each piece is, and how long you've played;
- Finished puzzles: the picture and its title, the piece count, whether rotation or the faint picture was on, hints used, play time, and the date you finished;
- Preferences, such as your favorite categories, puzzle defaults, board background, and whether the daily reminder is on;
- Downloaded pictures, kept in a cache so puzzles open quickly and work offline.
Your photos
You can turn one of your own photos into a puzzle. You pick it with the iOS photo picker, so the App only receives the photo you choose. It never sees the rest of your photo library and doesn't ask for permission to access it.
The App saves a copy of that photo with the puzzle, and a small thumbnail of it in your history once you finish. Both stay on your device and in your private iCloud storage, described below. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to our analytics provider.
iCloud sync
If you're signed in to iCloud on your device, the App stores your puzzles in progress, finished-puzzle history, and any photo puzzles in a private CloudKit database in your own iCloud account, so they sync across your devices and come back if you reinstall. That database belongs to your Apple Account. We have no access to it, and Apple stores it under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Apple sends the App silent background notifications when something changes in that database, so your other devices update. Those don't come from us.
If you're not signed in to iCloud, or you turn off iCloud for Jigovia in your device's settings, everything stays on that one device.
Downloading puzzle pictures
The App comes with a starter set of pictures and downloads the rest of the library, including the daily puzzle, from our picture server. These are ordinary file downloads that carry no account or identifier. As with any website, the server and our hosting provider receive your IP address in order to deliver the files. We don't use it to identify you.
Anonymous usage analytics
To learn which features people use and how to improve the App, it sends anonymous usage statistics to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service. These cover things like starting and finishing puzzles, using hints, viewing the Jigovia Plus offer, and whether a purchase went through, along with basic technical details such as the App version, device model, and language.
These statistics are not linked to your identity and not used for tracking or advertising, and we don't sell or share them. Your photos are never included, and the App doesn't collect your name, email address, or location in the first place. TelemetryDeck processes them for us under its privacy policy.
Daily reminder
If you allow notifications, the App can remind you each morning that a new daily puzzle is ready. The reminder is scheduled on your device and isn't sent from a server. You can turn it off in the App's Settings or in Settings → Notifications → Jigovia.
What we don't collect
The App contains no advertising software and no tracking identifiers, and it doesn't use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites. The App does not collect or request:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any account login;
- Your location;
- Access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or calendars, or to your photo library beyond the photos you pick;
- The Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). The App never asks for permission to track you.
Apple separately lets you share crash and usage reports with app developers under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. If you turn that on, Apple may provide us aggregated, anonymous crash reports. You can turn it off at any time.
Jigovia Plus purchase
Jigovia is free to download and offers an optional one-time Jigovia Plus purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. To check whether Plus is unlocked, including when a family member shares it with you through Family Sharing, the App asks Apple's StoreKit for your purchase record on the device. We receive anonymized sales reports from Apple and the anonymous purchase statistics described above. We never see your name, card number, billing address, or Apple Account details.
Contacting support
When you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you and fix problems you report, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
Apple services
The App is distributed through the App Store. iCloud sync, the photo picker, notifications, purchases, Family Sharing, refunds, and the "Rate this app" prompt are handled by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. Apart from Apple, the App uses TelemetryDeck for analytics and a hosting provider to deliver pictures, both described above.
Deleting your data
Because your puzzles and photos live on your devices and in your own iCloud, you control them directly:
- Remove finished puzzles from your history, or clear the whole history, in the App. If you use iCloud, the change syncs to your other devices.
- Delete the App to remove what it stored on that device, including downloaded pictures.
- To remove the copy in iCloud as well, delete Jigovia's data from your iCloud storage in your device's iCloud settings (under Manage Storage).
- Your Jigovia Plus purchase stays with your Apple Account, so reinstalling and tapping Restore Purchase unlocks it again.
Anonymous usage statistics are kept by TelemetryDeck only in aggregated or pseudonymous form for analysis. Because they can't be connected to you, we can't find or delete one person's statistics. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it. Ask us and we'll delete your correspondence.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or opt out of certain processing, under laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by these laws. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the App to process anonymous usage statistics. Your puzzles and photos are stored on your devices and in your own iCloud, where you can delete them yourself. The only information we might hold that identifies you is a support email you sent. Write to us and we'll respond within the time the applicable law requires.
Children's privacy
Jigovia is a puzzle game suitable for all ages, but it is not directed to children under 13. It has no accounts, chat, or advertising, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The usage statistics described above are anonymous and are not used to identify or contact anyone. In-app purchases follow Apple's rules, including Ask to Buy for children in a Family Sharing group. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Information stored by the App is protected by iOS and by your device passcode. Data in iCloud is protected by Apple's security for your Apple Account; with Advanced Data Protection turned on, Apple encrypts it end to end. Pictures and analytics are sent over encrypted connections, and purchases are verified through Apple's signed StoreKit transactions. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App changes. If a future version collects new kinds of information or uses it in new ways, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy label before that version is released. The revised policy takes effect when posted on this page, with a new "Last updated" date above.
